After creating a time-off approval structure and a way to verify in-office/remote days for our staff through Slack Action buttons, I discovered that the buttons only work for users with access to the underlying data. (Figured out only after banging my head against the wall trying to figure out why it worked for some and not others.)
It’s not a very big deal, but it is annoying, especially because I designed a process very specifically to allow people to verify right from their slack account, and I’ve reviewed it with my team twice.
Are there any relatively simple workarounds to this? (It’s an HR base. It doesn’t have super sensitive data but still not ideal to share with everyone.)
