I’ve spent a lot of time with popular form builders like Typeform and Jotform. I’ve also had to use mini-extensions form app on a key number of projects. Fillout combines best of both worlds. It’s powerful in the sense that it can do a lot and looks great while doing it.
Some of the things that stood out to me were;
- You can create conditional-logic banners/alerts based on input responses that appear as user is filling out the form.
- Form pages and sequences
- Stores results even partial/failed submissions
- Easy to add pixels and embed code like chat-bots for form pages
- Their “Other Fields” tabs extends utility beyond the field types Airtable provides natively.
However it is a new product and what comes with new software are its share of little bugs but their team has been outstanding every step of the way. They were able to implement patches and solve technical problems as they arrived.
They’ve fixed every bug I’ve encountered except for this one is still pending;
- You currently can not prefill multi-select and linked relationship records with more than 1 value using URL parameter
One of their founders Dominic Whyte is very active on Facebook Airtable communities which assures me they’re one of us. Definitely worth trying!
