Copy Record to another Base

Is it possible to copy a record to another table in another Base using Automations? I know there is Sync, but that doesn’t seem to fit the bill.

Outside of syncing, there is no way to automate things between different bases unless you write your own custom Javascripts or use a low-code automation tool like Make’s advanced automations for Airtable.

If you’ve never used Make before, I’ve assembled a bunch of Make training resources in this thread. For example, here is one of the ways that you can instantly trigger a Make automation from Airtable.

Alternatively, you can manually copy-and-paste a record between bases from one grid view to another grid view – as long as all of the fields are lined up identically in your grid views in both bases.

Also, is there a specific reason that you need to copy a record to another base? That is not something that we would typically see in a database system.

Hope this helps! If you’d like to hire the best Airtable consultant to help you with anything Airtable-related, please feel free to contact me through my website: Airtable consultant — ScottWorld

Basically I’ve been spoiled by SmartSuite. SS has “Solutions”, same idea as Bases. But in SS you can link between Solutions, copy, etc as if the tables in each solution were all in one Base. It lets you organize things more granularly and provides for almost (but not quite) unlimited records.
