# Airtable Single Select Fields - Make vs Zapier

Make will fail out if I try to pass a value to a single select field that doesn’t already exist.

Zapier will crate the new value as a new option.

Is there anything I’m missing to get it so Make can also just create new options?

@Alisha_Sadeski You will need to enable the Smark links at the bottom of the Airtable module in order to allow the creation of new options in single/multiple select fields 🙂
